1. Seed Loading: The planting process begins with loading seed potatoes into a hopper attached to the planter. The hopper holds a certain quantity of seed potatoes, and they are released as needed during the planting operation.

2. Spacing Mechanism: The planter is equipped with a spacing mechanism that determines the distance between each seed potato as it is planted. This ensures proper spacing for optimal potato growth and yield.

3. Depth Adjustment: Farmers can usually adjust the planting depth based on soil conditions and the desired depth for optimal potato growth. This feature allows for flexibility depending on the specific requirements of the potato variety being planted.
